Niki de Saint Phalle adult workshops
From June, 20th to September, 30th 2025After a guided tour of the “Niki de Saint Phalle, le bestiaire magique” exhibition at Caumont-Centre d'Art, you can create a handmade piece at Espace Atome, a 5-minute walk from the Hôtel de Caumont.
Program
Modeling ceramic trivets
After visiting the exhibition, you'll make a ceramic trivet inspired by the shapes of Niki de Saint Phalle.
During this one-and-a-half-hour workshop, you'll have the opportunity to model a trivet. We'll start by designing the piece: using our inspirational moodboards, you can draw inspiration from them or create your own shape. We'll then move on to modelling using the plate technique, followed by painting for 100% self-made creations! A joyful, gentle moment to let your imagination run wild. After the class, the pieces must dry completely and very slowly before the cookie is fired, followed by the glaze.
Pieces will be ready for collection no later than a month and a half after the workshop.

JEWELRY PENDANTS
After a guided tour of Niki de Saint Phalle's dazzling universe, express your creativity by creating a medallion inspired by her work.
During this one-and-a-half-hour workshop, you'll learn the basics for creating your own personalized brass medallion. Guided by our inspirational moodboard, we'll start by brainstorming and sketching your future creation. After a presentation of the jeweler's tools and a demonstration of metal-cutting techniques, you'll cut your shape from brass, then file the outline for a more finished form.
Once the medallion is finished, you can choose between a hammered or rough finish, depending on your preference. You can even punch in a date, initials or a sweet note. Final step: the medallion will be dipped in an 18-carat gold bath to give it its final shine. Participants will pick up their medallion a few days later (shipping possible for non-Aixois with a small surcharge).
